Psalm 46

Who is God? What other qualities of God are brought to mind by these verses? Journal about times in your life in which God has proven these attributes about himself to be true.

Read this document:  "God is our Refuge and Strength."

Silence and solitude: Intentionally spend some time alone with just yourself and God, away from other people.

In what ways does God offer us Christians refreshment like a river of fresh water? Through faith in Jesus we are citizens of the City of God. How is this a comfort for us – especially in troubled times?
